Students at MBAC had the pleasure of meeting Sgt. Vandersteene of the Mississippi National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academy during the lunch and learn session. Sgt Vandersteene provided valuable information about the program and the many benefits young men and women have received when they complete the program. He also informed the students that this program creates an environment for young men and women to take control of their lives and accept responsibility for their past, present and future behavior. There students develop pride, self-respect, discipline, direction, ethics, values, and educational skills. Many students leave the program with a GED and/or join the military.
